Guatemalan has gone way up in price, and sometimes difficult to get. I want only the best flavored and I try to get the higher grade. For the first time I have had to raise the price of Guatemalan. Yet, it is wonderful as a medium or dark roast, which dark roasts I normally do not care about. Savor the bold, yet well-balanced and clean cup of a dark Guatemalan roast. It is also a very complex coffee. Guatemalan Antigua is grown in shaded areas on the mountainside. It is a very diverse coffee, depending on the farm.
For those who like the dark smokey tones, to the bright, fruity floral tones, this coffee can be roasted a light to very dark roast. I tend to lean toward the dark side, as it is the very best in flavor and roast. This coffee is excellent by itself or great in an espresso blend with a light Colombian and medium Papua New Guinea! There are numerous blends you can mix with Guatemalan. Just as the Red-Tailed hawk drifts over it’s prey, the Guatemalan coffee glides smoothly over your palate, as you experience the delicious, roasted flavor of these top-grade beans.
