Description
Guatemalan has gone way up in price, and sometimes difficult to get. I want only the best flavored and I try to get the higher grade. For the first time I have had to raise the price of Guatemalan. Yet, it is wonderful as a medium or dark roast, which dark roasts I normally do not care about.
In Memory of Dave Ruhl, Firefighter
Dave Ruhl loved the Guatemalan Dark Roast coffee. It was his preference of the Guatemalan that challenged me to roast it darker. No matter how many specialty coffees Dave tried, in his quiet way, he would insist the Guatemalan was the best. We will continue to use the name “Super Dave’s Fire Brew” in memory of Dave.
A heartfelt thank you to Erin, Tyler and Ava for providing me with the name of Dave’s favorite coffee and the label we use.
About Guatemalan Coffee:
A good Guatemalan Antigua coffee has a sweet, clean, well-balanced flavor. It is also a very complex coffee. Antigua coffee is grown in shaded areas on the mountainside. Guatemalan coffee is very diverse, depending on the farm. For those who like the dark smokey tones, to the bright, fruity floral tones, you can roast this bean a light to very dark. Majority of people love Guatemalan coffee roasted dark. Works great in an espresso blend!
**We also have this in Organic, Cost is $1.20 extra. Please let me know if you wish to have organic.
